From what we understand, the model for "Making it in Marbella" is the American series "Selling sunset", which follows the life and work of a group of luxury real estate agents in Los Angeles. Much of the drama in the series revolves around rivalries and conflicts between the members of the group, particularly when it comes to loyalties, business relationships and personal ambitions. In addition, seasoned with the love lives of several characters.
Reality show or reality?
"Making in it Marbella" is a reality show even though it is based on a real workplace and real people. The characters are also real estate agents. However, as with many reality shows, there is a strong emphasis on drama and personal intrigue. Certain situations are enhanced and events and interactions are emphasized to create more entertainment and attract viewers - i.e. "good TV".
